Who We Are ?

Light Up (Emotions Matter Foundation) develops programs that build skills in children and young adults to break the cycle of generational trauma and poverty from marginalized communities to be able to exercise their rights and agency , and live a life of dignity and respect.

We design holistic community mental health, social - emotional learning and leadership programs for children, young adults, teachers and parents to democratize the access to preventive and promotive mental health resources..

Our programs are built with an intersectional, arts-oriented, and a trauma-informed lens. We utilize and promote an integrated approach to design solutions that focus on building sustainable systems, designing for scale, and creating 360° social change.

We work with children and youth from sex workers community, child care homes , urban slums and schools.
