Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions. These skills are directly associated with and facilitate in developing social and personal competencies like self-esteem, empathy, self-efficacy, resilience, and self-regulation.
Light Up (EMF) offers support to the school in the form of customized need-based SEL intervention programmes. Our Emotional Resilience programme is a form of continued support through Social and Emotional Learning workshops with children, intensive training sessions for educators, support groups and awareness sessions with parents that aims to bring a positive shift in their emotional well-being and mental health. We strongly believe in the power of human interaction, and all our sessions are personally delivered by trained experts in the fields of education, psychology and management.
